The black sheep in my discography up until this point. I was fairly obsessed with Paysage d'Hiver and the whole atmospheric lo-fi black metal shtick. It's all really cool. Now I don't really recommend listening to this one, it's generic and doesn't really show my capabilities, especially as a guitarist, all that well.

Despite its flaws I find myself returning to it a lot solely because of the environment it was created in. The week or so I spent working on this was magical, I legitimately did nothing but do schoolwork and work on Cheydinhal. I've never been so atmospherically involved in a project before, especially something so out of character with the rest of my discography. It's the first time I've made a track of original music that exceeded 3 minutes, it's the first time I recorded vocals, it's the first time I recorded guitars, hell, it's the first time I made black metal.
I don't know if I've ever been able to capture that lightning in a bottle moment ever since or before.
